To whom it may concern

 

I would like to share my experience with your management team, to (perhaps) look into the food quality. Please note that this is simply a feedback for improvement (though I doubt I would return, after all, once bitten twice shy).

 

My partner and I ordered a steak (aside from starters) each and were disappointed with both dishes. I have always heard of Jack's Place and the steaks, understanding that there is a certain quality for it to receive such high reviews from friends and family alike. Both my partner and I did not complete a quarter of the steak for the following reasons:

  • meat was not properly thawed, making it taste boiled, rather than grilled
  • meat had a slight smell to it, meaning the meat is not very fresh
  • doneness of the steak was not as per order

We believe that the meat was taken out frozen and placed in hot water for a fast thaw. Perhaps you would like to look into this. The quality of the meat also states a lot about the outlet.

 

Your service crew did their best to satisfy our dissatisfaction, though. The fact that one of them came over to us to check on our orders (after me standing up to take the menu) shows their attentiveness. Also, I am (semi) glad that we were not charged for our 'quarter-eaten' steaks (though I did not mind paying for my actual orders). The actions taken by your wait staff rendered my partner not to make a "big deal" about it via the numerous social media there are. 

 

The reason for this email is to hope that you will look into the quality of the food, as to not turn future (repeat) customers away. 

 

Just a hind-sight, offering a complimentary dessert (although a nice gesture), defeats its purpose as our appetite went down the drain at the point of the first bite of the steak.

 

I do truly apologise should I sound like a typical "complainer". I do like to thank the wait staff though, for their efforts, especially to reinvite us to our restaurant.
