Subject: A Concerned Bt. Panjang Customer Feedback Requiring Your Attention Dear Sir/Mdm, As a resident of Bukit Panjang and a regular patron of Jack's Place branch located at BPP, I felt compelled to bring this matter to your attention about the pleasant experience today that gave both my client and I much to be glad about life in Singapore while having lunch at the said branch. As a regular patron, I immediately noticed that there was a new cheerful elderly woman (about 50 plus) managing the cashier counter with slight difficulty. Nevertheless, both my client and I were warmly welcomed by her hospitality and great service. As the restaurant was sparsely crowded this afternoon, we were promptly ushered to our seat and were immediately shown the menu. An efficient introduction of the lunch and soup of the day done by the said elderly staff. We were also served promptly with ice cold drinks. Honestly, we were impressed with the prompt and efficient service. Both our lunch were correctly ordered and shortly well served. We later realised that the elderly cashier had slight difficulty managing the cashier as she had an injured left eye (blue black and slightly swollen) which we did not taken note of earlier. I settled my bill correctly at the cashier counter. What amazed us this afternoon was the fact that she had carried herself and her service well despite her eye condition. Other younger staffs may have gone on medical leave otherwise. The elderly woman is a typical valuable hard working Singapore Citizen whom had contributed her most productive years to the service industry. They deserved our care. As a business owner myself, I strongly supported the employment of elderly staffs and not to exploit them in whatever ways. Please convey our gratitude to this elderly staff of BPP (i think her name was Lydia) for her excellent service. Best regards Mr. Tan KS |
